Stream (RP)

Coona decided to goof around a little more. When Vitani pushed him, he fell over, pretending to be severely hurt. He was howling in pain, but all of the sudden, he just started laughing. He couldn't play a joke for very long. He leaped to his paws, still laughing a little.

"Pfft. My hero," she muttered loud enough for Coona to hear.

Coona frowned. "Ouch," he said sarcastically. He bumped his tail against Vitani's flank. He couldn't keep the smile off his face. When he was with a she-wolf that he wasn't very comfortable with, things were just awkward. However, as he grew more comfortable around Vitani now, he felt himself loosen up.

Vitani cleared her throat, business now. "So, where where the sandstone hills, or mountains, I forget which."

Coona straightened up and thought for a moment. He chased the amusement and playfullness from himself as quick as possible. He tested the air. "If I'm not mistaken, I do believe that the cliffs are just beyond this rise," he said. He nodded for Vitani to follow him, and began walking toward where he thought the cliffs were. He hadn't been there much since he became a Knight of the Round Table, but he still dreamed and thought of that place of puphood play often.

Vitani followed after Coona, making sure she didn't trip or fall into any holes.

As Coona and Vitani finally ascended the rise, the cliffs came into sight. They were rather large, and they led down to a small river. His tail began to wag and he bounded toward the sandstone cliffs. They were vast and the color of...sand. They had big ledges, big enough for two wolves to walk side-by-side all the way down to the water to play or rest on the sandbars below. He turned around and grinned at Vitani. "Welcome to the Sandstone Cliffs."

Vitani smiled and looked around, "I gotta admit, its beautiful." She said looking back at Coona.

Coona felt hot all of the sudden. Yes. Beautiful. He smiled. He was here with Vitani, the High Queen. They had just before played together. She was beautiful. He felt so happy. "I agree. I love this place."

"Care to show me around some more?" Vitani asked and looked over the cliffs of the sand stone.

Coona nodded. "Of course, right this way." He padded over to a ledge with a small, scraggly tree growing on it. "This is where I fell from when I was young. I'm glad I just got away with a twisted paw. Now that I look at it again, this fall could have killed me," he laughed. However, there was a hint of wistfulness in his voice and eyes, as if he pined for those good old carefree days when he could come out here and play. The dark wolf cleared his throat and beckoned Vitani over to his favorite part of the Sandstone Cliffs. It was a cave in the side of a cliff accessed by a thick ledge. "This is what I like to call...a cave." Coona had always meant to name the cave something cool, but he never got around to it.

Vitani chuckled, "I know what a cave is." She followed after him to go see what Coona was trying to show her.

Coona chuffed a little, then started into the cave. He couldn't be sure, but he thought he remembered hiding something special in that cave when he was a pup. It was something that he remembered having great value to him. "Come on in," he called to Vitani.

Vitani follow closely behind, not wanting to loose her guide.

Coona noticed Vitani staying close to him. "Feel free to look around. This cave isn't very big," he assured. He began to sniff around for what he may have once hidden in that cave. He searched for his own scent, but it had been so long.

Vitani looked around the cave a little, "Its pretty." She said at a loss for words of the cave.

Coona turned back to Vitani and nodded. "Yes, it's really something, isn't it?" Coona hadn't really noticed how remarkable the cave really was when he was a pup. It was shining, big, and cavernous.

"How long is the cave?" Vitani asked not looking down from the shinning sandstone cavern.

Coona pondered this question for a moment. "Well, I think it takes about half an hour to get from the mouth of the cave to the back wall while walking. Running, however, should be a lot quicker." The black and brown wolf thought even harder. What had he hidden here? Maybe he left it by the back wall. "Shall we go to the back?" he suggested, raising his tail.

"Why do we need to go back?" Vitani asked alarmed looking around the cave trying to see what would make them need to go back.

"Oh," Coona said, lowering his ears. "I think that I may have hid something back there when I was young. I don't really remember what it is, but it couldn't hurt to look, right?"

"If you don't want me to see, I can go back and you can go ahead to see what it is." Vitani said and stopped waiting to see what Coona would do.

Coona shook his head, smiling. "I suppose it was just a little puphood...thing. You can see. I don't mind." Wagging his tail, he took a step toward the back of the cave.

Vitani shrugged and waited for Coona to continue on, "Okay then... I guess."

Coona grew a mischievous glint in his eyes. "Race you," he challenged. With that, he took off through the cave, kicking up rocks and laughing as he bounded.
