Stream (RP)

Vitani ran after Coona, she nudged his leg to make him trip and tried to get ahead.

Well, Coona was not expecting that nudge. He toppled over and rolled over the rocks, laughing. When he regained his balance, he looked after Vitani as she raced away. "Not cool!" he called jokingly. With that, he stood and dashed after her, trying hard to catch up. His tongue lolled out of the side of his mouth and his paws were a blue as they raced on.

"No rules for racing!" Vitani called over her shoulder and raced on.

"Well if you win, it doesn't count!" Coona joked. He was catching up now, pouring on the speed. Finally, Coona caught up with Vitani and knocked into her side, then pulled ahead.

Vitani jumped up and slammed her shoulder into Coona, even though she was smaller then him she still played rough.

Coona almost fell at Vitani's blow, but he was somehow able to regain his balance. Laughing, he began to nip at Vitani's back paws. His eyes glowed with laughter and happiness.

Vitani laughed as Coona nipped her back paws, she kicked some dirt up at him so that he couldn't drag her down.

Coona sneezed as Vitani kicked dirt in his face. He moved away from her back paws and thought of what he should try next. Without really thinking, he just leaped over and tackled Vitani to the ground before bounding to his paws and racing off.

Vitani yelped and lay on the ground looking like she was in pain.

Coona looked back to make sure Vitani was still a safe distance behind him, but skidded to halt when he saw she was still lying on the cave floor. He leaped back and dashed to her side. "Vitani! Are you all right?"

Vitani jumped up and continued running, "Yep! I'm fine!" she called over her shoulder and laughed.

Coona barked in surprise as Vitani leaped back up and started running. He darted after her. "No fair!" he laughed.

"Please, you think that's unfair, wait until you want to play other games," she said playfully not looking back. She made a bee line for the end of the cave.

Coona increased his gallop. "I don't think I want to play with you anymore then!" he called. He was slowly closing the gap between Vitani and himself. The end of the cave was in sight, and so far, it wasn't looking good for him. But, he still might catch up to Vitani before she reached the back wall.

"That's fine!" Vitani called after her shoulder playfully almost towards the back wall.

Coona ran even harder, but he couldn't beat her. He saw her reach the back wall and he was still about 10 wolflengths behind. He halted, panting, right at the back wall next to Vitani. "That didn't count," he breathed.

"Sure it didn't," Vitani barked playfully and giggled.

Coona suddenly and automatically nuzzled Vitani affentionately, but then reeled back, lowering his head. He hadn't really meant to nuzzle her, it had just happened. "Sorry, sorry," he muttered.

Vitani narrowed her eyes, "Its fine. Lets head back to the streams."


(I need to take a shower, I'll be on in fifteen minutes or so.)

Coona cleared his throat and stood up, recovering his dignity. "Yeah, I agree." He'd come look for the little hidden thing some other time. The awkward situation kind of put a stop to that. He started on his way to the mouth of the cave, looking back to make sure Vitani was following. Coona just felt plain bad about nuzzling Vitani. He knew he shouldn't have done that, but he had anyway.

Vitani was a little upset that Coona had nuzzled her, but she hid her emotions and followed after him.

Coona just kept walking, looking a bit forlorn. He was mad at himself that he'd made such a fun time into such an awkward situation.

Vitani could feel that Coona felt bad, she wasn't surprised yet she wasn't about to take pity on him.

Coona walked on in silence until he reached the mouth of the cave. He looked up at the top of the cliffs, then mounted the ledge used to get there. He leaped onto ground level and stopped to wait for Vitani.

Vitani walked past Coona and flicked her tail, "Come on."
